Galvin Murphy, Sr., ACE
Galvin is the President of Yankee Pest Control and currently sits as a Board of Director for the National Pest Management Association. He has been involved with the pest control industry since 1985 and founded Yankee Pest Control in 1990. He holds multiple state licenses and categories along with chairing multiple educational committees from K-9 scent detection to WDI.
His achievements in the industry are many but he is most proud of being the past president of the New England Pest Management Association (NEPMA) and being honored by the members of NEPMA as the 19th recipient of the Bart Eldridge award in 2012, given for a member’s long-term commitment and betterment of the pest control industry in New England. This was given in recognition of his long tenure as the education committee chair for NEPMA. In 2017, he was recognized by the NPMA Gives program for his commitment to philanthropy and charitable donations.
Galvin Sr. enjoys speaking to others in the industry either as a mentor or during annual training seminars. He has presented for NPMA, NEPMA, New York, New Jersey, and multiple agencies covering termites to bed bugs. His love for speaking to pest control operators and owners is only matched by his love for taking care of our country’s veterans. Rooted in his beginnings as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, Galvin is often found spending time at the countless veteran’s organizations he supports.
Galvin loves the time he has with his wife, kids, family dogs, and most importantly his five grandchildren.
