Leading Bed Bug Heat Treatment
An industry leader in bed bug heat treatment service, Thermal Remediation®, has provided Yankee Pest Control technicians the experience needed to overcome the worst bed bug infestations.
Length of treatment for bed bugs
While chemical treatments typically require multiple applications over an extended time period, one application (for low to mid-level infestations) is all that is needed for heat treatments to effectively kill all insect life stages from egg to adult – allowing you to return to your normal lifestyle sooner than traditional liquid treatments.
How bed bug heat treatment works
Bed bugs hide in small cracks and crevices that traditional pesticides are not always able to reach, resulting in an unsuccessful treatment program. Heaters, however, penetrate these difficult-to-reach areas. Large fans drive heated air throughout the unit being treated and create a convection environment capable of accessing hidden bed bugs and their eggs.
Wireless sensors and computer systems are used to remotely track temperatures in various areas throughout the space being treated. A detailed report is generated at the conclusion of the treatment detailing the achieved temperatures.
Heat treatment for bed bugs is safe
The proper even application of heat will not result in any damage to interior contents. It is safe to leave potentially infested electronics and other contents in the space being heated as long as they are unplugged. For added safety, Yankee Pest Control provides a list of heat-sensitive items that will need to be removed from the unit prior to treatment.
Bed bug treatment with discretion
The Yankee Pest Control team provides our own electrical source needed to power our heating equipment. The box trucks and vehicle-pulled generators are marked as minimally as the DOT allows for as much discretion as possible.

Excellent, on time and friendly, professional pest control service. Ed and his Bedbug sniffing dog Leyla are delightful to deal with. I’ve now had Galvin and Ed at my home and they are both highly competent at what they do, and also gentlemen.
Thank you!
